Katana1 like to host the team on quarterly K1PDs (planning days). We talk about what the team are seeing out in the field, which client is the best to work for, who is horrible. Award rad work, rad ideas and rad reviews. The team argue about where we should direct our technology focus and what we aren't good at.
It's the technical team yelling abuse at the sales team for half a day. Then we go out for dinner and have a couple of drinks and hug each other.

What's exciting about the channel is when smart people on the customer side or in vendor land decide to back themselves and start up their own venture. Many of the smartest and best-looking people I know in tech have come from this path.
